Trouble logging in to myhrtoolkit?

Sometimes users may experience issues logging in to myhrtoolkit. These will often be because of simple things like a mis-typed username or a half-remembered password. Sometimes, the User will need to contact the company’s myhrtoolkit Controller for a password reset.

Note – Our servers run scheduled maintenance between 4am and 5am every Saturday. In the event that you are trying to access the system during this time, you may temporarily have issues logging in and/or using your myhrtoolkit.

This simple step frequently resolves most problems with logging in:

  • On the myhrtoolkit login page, click the 'Forgot Your Password?' link.
  • You will need your username and system email address (the email address used to receive myhrtoolkit notifications).
  • A time-limited link will be sent out to you allowing you to reset your password. The password is only reset with the click of the link – so if you remember your password, you can type it in to the login page without using the link sent.
  • If you still cannot log in, continue reading. You may need to contact your company’s myhrtoolkit Controller(s).

There can be other reasons for login issues. To help identify what is happening in these scenarios, Issue Codes have been assigned to these categories. Where there is a failure to log in, an Issue Code will be shown.

Issue Code Meaning Notes
1 Expired welcome link The welcome link you have used is more than 30 days old and has expired.
 
Please speak with your organisation’s system administrator to request a new login link.
2 Expired reset link The reset link you have used has expired after [date/time].
 
Please speak with your organisation’s system administrator to request a new login link.
3 You do not have system access Please contact the person who administrates myhrtoolkit in your organisation.
4 Incorrect login details The username and/or password entered is not recognised. Please try again.   Alternatively, please contact your organisation’s system administrator
5 Account suspended Access to your organisation’s system account has been suspended.
 
Please contact your organisation’s system administrator.
6 Account locked Your account has been locked for security reasons after multiple incorrect reset attempts.
 
Please contact your organisation’s system administrator and request a reset link.
7 Multiple password fails You have made 5 failed login attempts. Your account has been locked for 1 minute.
8 Incorrect login details The username and/or system email address entered is not recognised. Please try again.
 
Alternatively, please contact your organisation’s system administrator
9 Incorrect Date of Birth Please try again.
 
Alternatively, please contact your organisation’s system administrator.
10 Incorrect MFA code The MFA passcode entered is not correct. Please check and try again. If you continue to experience problems, you can use a backup code or contact your controller to help you reset your MFA device.
